Technologist Assistant

Description Job Duties: Escort patients to and from exam rooms, ensuring safety, comfort, and timely flow Prepare patients for imaging exams by providing instructions and directing them to dressing areas as needed, positioning, and providing clear instructions regarding the exam Prepare and maintain exam rooms, including cleaning, stocking, and readiness for patient care Support technologists and clinical staff with patient positioning and basic procedural assistance Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients across a wide range of health conditions Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times Follow established protocols, workflows, and safety guidelines Assist with starting IVs when required, based on modality and training Identify and escalate patient concerns or operational issues as appropriate Responsibilities may evolve based on operational needs and patient care priorities. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Prior healthcare or patient-facing experience strongly preferred IV certification or willingness to obtain, depending on role requirements Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required (or obtained within defined timeframe upon hire) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively with patients ranging from routine to critically ill Basic understanding of healthcare practices and patient care procedures Ability to follow instructions and work within established guidelines Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks Team-oriented with a focus on patient-centered care Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, and assisting patients with mobility May require lifting or supporting patients in accordance with safety guidelines Exposure to clinical environments and patient care settings SMI IMAGING LLC
