Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients in labor and delivery, from patient check-in through discharge. The RN must demonstrate clinical expertise and manage high-risk pregnancies with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify patient needs, developing individualized care plans using the nursing process.
• Implement clinical interventions for obstetric patients, including high-risk pregnancy management.
• Monitor fetal well-being through fetal monitoring techniques and interpret findings.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Educate patients on childbirth, prenatal testing, and postnatal care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, procedures, and progress.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery or OB nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetric care.
• Hold current BLS (AHA), AWHONN, and NRP certifications, with documentation.
• Possess active state license in good standing.
• Have previous travel experience preferred and must include RTO requests at submission.
