We’re looking for a strong pharmacy leader to step into an Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager role at a 250-bed hospital in Northern California. This is a high-level opportunity for an experienced pharmacist who can take ownership of pharmacy operations and help lead the department from day one.
Position Details:
- 3–6 month interim assignment
- ASAP start
- Reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy
Responsibilities:
- Oversee clinical, financial, administrative, and pharmacy information systems operations
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and control pharmacy workflow
- Hire and train pharmacy staff
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Management team
- Serve as a liaison with physicians and hospital personnel
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Utilize hospital and community resources to meet operational needs
- Perform Director of Pharmacy duties in their absence
Ideal Candidate:
- Active California Pharmacist License
- Strong pharmacy leadership/management experience in California
- Hospital pharmacy experience
- Proven ability to lead pharmacy operations and staff
- Comfortable stepping into a high-level interim leadership role
