To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this .**GENERAL SUMMARY:**The incumbent will be appointed at the rank of non-tenure earning Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track in the Cerebrovascular Division, Department of Neurology at the University of Miami School of Medicine.He/she will have a strong clinical and research background in Cerebrovascular Diseases.The incumbent will be involved in the clinical care of patients at the UHealth clinics, University of Miami Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital. He/she will provide 1-2 outpatient sessions, and 18-20 weeks of inpatient service at Jackson South Medical Center, Jackson West Medical Center, and Jackson Memorial Hospital, and UHealth Tower if needed.The incumbent will also participate in the research projects as well as educational and mentorship activities of the Cerebrovascular Division and the Department of Neurology.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB**1) Care for patients in the UHealth and Jackson Health System outpatient settings2) Care for patients in the Jackson Health System inpatient settings3) Train/mentor physicians, staff,4) Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences5) Develop a research program in Cerebrovascular Diseases6) Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS*** Education and experience:* Requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent). Cerebrovascular Fellowship is also required and board certification in Neurology is strongly recommended.* Eligible for Florida Medical License.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities:*** Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing)* Excellent customer service skills Ability to work collaboratively with other employees.* Good organizational skills.**WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS**1. Work conditions: work is performed in an indoor office environment. Subject to frequent interruptions.2.
