NOW HIRING: Social Worker (Part Time)
Are you looking to make a difference in someone’s life every day? Do you have patience, empathy, and a true desire to care for those in need? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you will love working as a Social Worker at Avant Rehabilitation and Care Center. We will be responsible to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in a professional and dedicated manner.

Social Worker Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the residents to identify their various needs and develop adequate assistance strategies.
- Collecting information about residents medical history and family background to determine if you are able to provide the help they need.
- Responsibilities include: treating the emotional, behavioral conditions and problems, assessing new clients to come up with a treatment plan that addresses determined needs, offer adjustment support for those that lack family support, facilitating group activities that encourage interaction with other residents, and conducting administrative tasks that are crucial to the day to day operations of a nursing facility.
Social Worker Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
- Licensed clinical social worker.
- Experience working with clients that are affected by issues including neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and parental substance abuse.
- Ability to stay calm and empathize with clients when they are upset.
- Experience in LTC/Skilled Nursing preferred
- Compassionate working with the geriatric population
