RISC-V Software Engineer

Salary: $211,800 - 317,800 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related discipline, plus 8+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience; alternatively, a masters degree with 7+ years or a PhD with 6+ years.
• We require 6+ years of experience working with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or similar; the minimum qualification also references 4+ years in these languages.
• We require 18+ years of experience in Linux KVM, the Linux kernel, or TEE development.
• We need a strong understanding of virtualization, confidential compute, and trusted execution environments.
• We need solid debugging expertise using tools such as ftrace, perf, kgdb, crash, kernel logs, and hardware debuggers.
• We need experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Preferred qualifications include exposure to RISC-V architecture, ARM virtualization extensions, ARM TrustZone, ARM CCA, RISC-V hypervisor extensions, or RISC-V CoVE.
• Preferred qualifications also include experience upstreaming patches, working with the Linux KVM or Linux kernel community, contributing to industry standards, platform or SoC bring-up on silicon/emulation/simulation, open-source maintenance, and familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

• We lead the architecture and development of security, virtualization, confidential compute, and trusted execution features.
• We drive upstream contributions to OpenSBI, KVM, and the Linux kernel, with a focus on maintainability and community alignment.
• We partner with hardware and platform teams to enable these capabilities across our software stack.
• We work with hardware engineers to bring up software on silicon and emulation platforms, troubleshoot hardware-software interactions, and ensure smooth integration.
• We guide the integration of compliance test suites for confidential compute and trusted execution features.
