Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $1890 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
- 1 year Med Surg, inpatient only.

Special Requests:
- Block scheduling with no specific days may be approved based on facility requirements.
- RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end.
- Holiday RTO: only 1 request per assignment.

Unit Details:
- Patient ratios are typically 1:6-7; ratios are not guaranteed and depend on the circumstance.
- Uses Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, SCD machines, PCA pumps, low air loss mattresses, and remote telemetry monitors.
- Patient population includes GI, GU, wound care, acute withdrawal, altered mental status, dialysis/ESRD, and minor surgical patients.
- Cares for patients with trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.

Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- Every other weekend.
- No call.

Floating Requirements:
- May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
