The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Montague seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming raw materials and finished goods.
- Prepare and package outgoing products, ensuring proper labeling and documentation for shipment.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain organized inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow.
- Load and unload trucks, verifying contents against shipping and receiving documents.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding material handling.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management
- Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management.
- Forklift certification with experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
