Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, managing a diverse range of acuity levels.Perform assessment and interpretation of dysrhythmias and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.Administer blood products and manage IV therapy, including starting IVs, administering continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors.Demonstrate proficiency in procedural sedation administration and handle emergency medications effectively.Conduct phlebotomy procedures and demonstrate mandatory competency in this skill.Float to other areas as needed based on patient census and departmental needs.Follow isolation precautions and uphold safety standards during patient care.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an emergency department setting.Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required.Strong ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage emergency situations effectively.Experience with Epic electronic medical record system preferred.Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-stress environment.SchedulePosition requires alternating shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.Every other weekend is mandatory.Minimal time off requests are preferred, and block schedules may be accommodated based on availability.Uniform RequirementsPreferred scrub colors are any combination of navy and white.Additional InformationApplicants should be prepared to meet competency requirements for all essential skills necessary for this role.
