Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner – Nocturnist (DOU / Step-Down Unit) Pay: From $115,000 per year Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 9–11 Night Shifts per Month Location: Ventura County, California Join a Premier Critical Care Team on California’s Beautiful Ventura Coast West Coast Critical Care Specialists is seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established Intensivist/Pulmonary group providing inpatient nocturnist coverage for the DOU (Step-Down Unit). About the Practice You will work alongside on-site Intensivists and Pulmonologists in a highly respected and collaborative environment featuring: Well-established Pulmonary, Intensive Care, and Step-Down Program State-of-the-art Critical Care Unit 2018 Silver Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Gold Plus Stroke / ELVO Receiving Center STEMI Receiving Center Strong support from consulting specialties including: Interventional Radiology Cardiology Neurology Gastroenterology Nephrology Surgery Inpatient care is provided at: St. John’s Regional Medical Center St. John’s Hospital Camarillo Responsibilities Provide overnight inpatient coverage for the DOU (Step-Down Unit) Collaborate closely with Intensivists, Pulmonologists, and consulting physicians Assess, diagnose, and manage medically complex patients Participate in high-quality, patient-centered critical care Qualifications California PA or NP license (completed or in process) ACLS certification Strong Internal Medicine foundation Pulmonary medicine experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Minimum 2 years of PA/ACNP experience preferred Compensation & Benefits We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package including: Competitive salary starting at $115,000+ Loan repayment assistance Retention bonus after 1 year Annual CME stipend Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance stipend Short-term and Long-term disability coverage 401(k) and Roth retirement plans Paid time off Flexible scheduling Excellent work/life balance Why Ventura County?
