Centralized Scheduler

The Centralized Scheduler is responsible for the pre-certifications and scheduling of hospital services for patients when physician's orders are internal, telephoned, faxed or brought in by the patient. Other duties include but are not limited to: obtaining insurance authorizations patient pre-registrations verifying that the diagnosis provided and testing orders meets Medicare Coverage Policy prior to scheduling in an effort to reduce denials by Medicare performs all duties in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations and within the CAH&C Compliance Program. Status: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Non-Exempt, Days Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; one to three months related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Market Range: $16.00 - $26.00 / Hour Competencies and Skills: Customer Service oriented, computer skills, ability to learn various software programs.
