Position Overview The Security Guard is responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and company property by conducting regular foot patrols of the supermarket parking lot. This role monitors activity, responds to safety concerns, and helps deter theft, vandalism, and other incidents. The Security Guard also assists customers and associates, documents incidents, and supports loss prevention efforts while maintaining a visible and professional presence. This position is located in Staten Island, NY. Key Responsibilities

- Patrol the parking lot and monitor activity to maintain a safe environment.
- Observe customer, vendor, and associate activity.
- Investigate suspicious behavior.
- Control access to restricted areas when necessary.
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and safety-related incidents.
- Contact law enforcement or emergency personnel when appropriate.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports.
- Protect company assets and support loss prevention efforts while maintaining a visible presence.
- Valid New York State Security Guard License. required
- Must have at least six months of security experience.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Ability to follow instructions and company procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergency situations.
- Must be able to walk and patrol the parking lot for the entire shift and be available to work weekdays and weekends from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
