Job Title: Payroll Technician
Location: Everett, WA (Fully Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months - CONTRACT [NO BENEFITS]
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week

Payrate: $30 per hour

Job Summary:  We are seeking an experienced Payroll Technician to process biweekly payroll for 950+ employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll, timesheets, and exception data.
• Research discrepancies, correct errors, and reconcile payroll reports.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation.
• Respond to employee and management payroll inquiries.
• Process payroll deductions, leave adjustments, and supplemental pay.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and payroll deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of payroll processing and payroll software experience .
• Knowledge of payroll accounting, FMLA, and FLSA.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Strong numerical, reconciliation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PeopleSoft, Trapeze, or UKG.
• Experience in government, public transit, or unionized environments.
