We are seeking a experienced and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Clinton, Ok. In this role, you will play a crucial role as a team member in fast paced office.

This role will prepare income and other (payroll, sales tax) return, research questions, document workpapers, complete monthly/quarterly bookkeeping, track time daily, and communicate with clients in person, via email, and on the phone. Work is performed in an office setting heavily reliant on computers and IT systems, including Excel, Adobe, and Outlook. QuickBooks is a must, and also some tax prep software (will train).

Main duties:

• Prepare current and prior original and amended income, sales, and payroll tax returns.

• Perform periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) bookkeeping, reconciliation, and reporting, adjusting entries, produce financial statements.

• Set up and renew entities and make elections.

• Receive or retrieve, scan, and file client source documents. Compile, annotate, and file workpapers; complete checklists; communicate outstanding items to clients; clear review comments; deliver returns; obtain signatures/authorizations.

• Analyze, calculate, and summarize data including extensive use of Excel.

• Respond to client questions.

• Research rules, options, and strategies.

• Manage multiple, concurrent, assigned projects from intake through completion.

• Enter time worked by client and activity each day.

• Manage calendars and appointments.

• Email, phone calls, logins and passwords, scanning, digital filing, copying, typing, using 10-key.

• Create bills, follow up with clients, and review receivables.
