This role will work closely with executive leadership to ensure projects are on track/resourced/and budgeted for and identify potential roadblocks early on in the process and put solutions in place when needed.Job Duties:Develop and implement the overall strategy for portfolio management, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals. Understand the broader business strategy to ensure that project initiatives contribute to these objectives while fostering a culture of excellence and accountabilityDrive and oversee the portfolio prioritization, decision making process, refining scoring logic and evaluation criteria as needed and leading the annual portfolio prioritization reviewEstablish and maintain a centralized database for tracking project status, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring projects are on trackCollaborate with relevant functions (e.g., GSM, Finance) to ensure activities are grounded in business strategy, and key financial metricsFacilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment and integrationOrganize and plan governance meetings for the Development Review and Portfolio review committeesSupport strategic workforce planning to optimize diverse skillsets and individual developmentLead, develop, and mentor a team of project managersQualifications:Bachelor's degree required. Science, Engineering, Business Administration discipline preferred; Master’s Degree preferredMinimum 12 years of experience in program management, preferably within the medical device / life sciences industryProven track record of leading successful projects, demonstrating strong leadership and influencing skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex conceptsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisionsAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlinesCertification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is advantageousThe range of starting base pay for this role is 235,000-323,000. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location.
