Position Overview

Calm Therapy, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in providing comprehensive mental health services to our clients. This full-time position is fully remote, offering flexibility while serving individuals in need of therapy. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of senior clients’ mental health needs and collaboratively develop personalized treatment strategies.
  • Provide empathetic counseling and psychotherapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to support emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential treatment records, including intake summaries, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with state and NCQA regulations.
  • Engage actively in team conferences to evaluate and adapt treatment programs based on client feedback and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Facilitate access to community resources and referrals tailored to the specific needs of clients, enhancing their support systems.
  • Deliver telehealth services, ensuring clients feel connected and comfortable in a virtual format.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on older adults, providing mental health support to individuals facing a unique set of life transitions and challenges. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping these clients cope with issues such as grief, anxiety, depression, and the stresses of aging. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving the overall mental health landscape within the community.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC in the state of California. Please note that we are unable to accept applicants with an associate license.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with geriatric populations is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple cases efficiently.
  • Demonstrated self-direction and ability to thrive without constant supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

We are pleased to offer a competitive annual salary range of USD 80,000 – 122,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our compensation package also includes:
