85% spine, 15% brain

Number of Beds: 17. Includes CVOR and Transplant. Not a leveled trauma center

Patient Ratios: OR nursing 1/1

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): 1-2 Surgical Techs per case

Type of equipment: Robots: Davinci XI, Globus and Mako, Microscopes, and other usual OR Equipment

Documentation system: Meditech

Scheduling requirements: Floating policy: As needed

Requested Skill Set:

Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

BLSACLSNIH REQUIRED

OR Experience in a hospital setting

Neurosurgery experience

2+ Years of Hosp/Specialty experience

Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed: (candidates with these skills will be considered first)

Robotic experience

Meditech Experience preferred

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN)Active TX RN License ONLY- temp License will not be accepted

Procedures performed on unit: Perform high volume of General, Neuro surgery including Crani, Ortho, Robotic, some Urology and plastic. Heart and Transplants as well

Patient Experience Required: Must be friendly and compassionate with our patients

Dress Code:

Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

Scrub Color: RN: Facility will provide scrubs

Nail Policy: Clean and Healthy. No gel nails or artificial nails.

Hair: hair should be neat and clean with no extrem styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed

Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually

Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited
