Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Baltimore, our facility is embedded within a school setting, allowing for seamless integration of healthcare with education. As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, you'll work onsite in a nurturing environment, collaborating closely with educators and caregivers to provide care that supports student health and academic success. Your schedule will primarily be Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional evenings and Saturdays based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive medical services to patients from infancy through adolescence, ensuring a family-centered approach that accommodates all genders.
• Perform preventive care, including administering immunizations and health screenings, and provide primary care services to address acute and chronic health issues.
• Educate patients and their families about health management, nutrition, family planning, and preventive practices to promote improved health outcomes.
• Prescribe medications, order and interpret lab tests, and conduct physical examinations with precision and compassion.
• Coordinate care with supervising physicians and other healthcare providers to maintain a continuum of care that addresses patients’ needs effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on the pediatric population attending the school, many of whom may require specialized care for chronic conditions, behavioral health support, and routine wellness check-ups. Building rapport with students and their families while providing education and support is essential in fostering a safe and healthy school environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in pediatrics.
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any additional certifications required by the pediatric department.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management Systems (PMS).

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience in a school-based health setting or with a similar population is preferred.
• A strong understanding of pediatric health issues, preventative care strategies, and community health resources.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 126,000 – 150,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and relocation assistance as needed.
