Position Overview
HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Burlington, North Carolina.
This 26-week assignment provides a desirable four-day workweek with no scheduled call responsibilities . The physician will provide adult Hematology/Oncology care with an emphasis on benign hematology and bread-and-butter Hem/Onc.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate new Hematology/Oncology patients
- Provide follow-up care to established patients
- Diagnose and manage benign hematologic conditions
- Provide general Hematology/Oncology care
- Develop treatment plans
- Write clinical orders and prescriptions
- Coordinate treatment and medications with pharmacy
- Review laboratory and diagnostic results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Complete documentation in Epic
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- North Carolina medical license
- DEA
- Clean background
- Adult Hematology/Oncology experience
- Ability to commit to full-time coverage
- Availability for 3–4 weeks/month
