Dotnet Developer or Admin

Salary: $78,000 - 118,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology and five years of experience in a related role.
• Experience leading technology project teams and performing project management functions; expertise in application administration and application architecture is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge and experience configuring, implementing, and managing monitoring and performance-management application technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including hands-on issue resolution and coordinating resources according to their skills and capabilities.
• Ability to participate in discussions about technical environments and provide guidance, feedback, and evaluation of technical options.
• Considerable knowledge of IT development and support procedures, software development life cycles, implementation models, infrastructure requirements gathering, and program management techniques and tools.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve difficult information technology problems.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Con Edison IT and business staff, with strong leadership skills.
• Broad knowledge of information technologies, including multi-tier client-server environments, web and networking technologies, operating systems, virtualization, APIs and other integration methods, relational databases, software development and migration, and batch scheduling tools.
• Hands-on experience with Windows client/server systems in a large corporate environment.
• Scripting experience with .NET, PowerShell, and VBScript.
• Ability to write SQL queries and work with SSIS packages and SSRS.
• Experience with architecture planning, documentation, and user administration.

• Operate with minimal direction to keep assigned systems available and functioning.
• Plan and prepare for changes to system requirements, including increased capacity and performance needs, additional systems, and future upgrades.
• Support systems throughout implementation and after go-live, including ongoing operations and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve AMI application performance issues, and present findings, resolutions, conclusions, and relevant details to IT senior management.
• Maintain the integrity and availability of AMI infrastructure, develop strategies to minimize downtime, and support business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Configure and test systems and conduct system performance reviews.
• Coordinate with application vendors to identify upcoming patches and hotfixes.
• Work with customer and user groups to identify bugs and enhancement requests for delivery to vendors.
