With a newly reconstituted management team and a strategy centered on restructuring, execution, and scalable growth, Patriot offers an environment unlike a traditional regional bankAbout the roleWe are expanding our in-house legal team and seeking a motivated, detail-oriented legal associate to support a broad range of legal matters within a regulated financial institution. You will report to the head of legal and work closely with business leaders, contributing to initiatives across the entire enterprise as the bank evolves. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working independently, and want early exposure to complex legal and operational issues.Provide legal support for loan servicing and lending operationsDraft, review, and negotiate contracts and transactional documentsAssist with day-to-day banking legal and regulatory questionsConduct legal research and prepare memorandaSupport business units with practical, solutions-oriented legal guidanceEngage directly with C-suite officers on priority initiatives and legal mattersOperate effectively in a fast-moving, execution-focused environmentRequirementsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolConnecticut bar preferred but not required (admission to at least one jurisdiction required)0–2 years relevant experience (banking, lending, regulatory, fintech, corporate, or securities exposure a plus)Strong research, writing, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgmentCollaborative, proactive, business-minded approachCompetitive benefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverageLife and disability insurance401(k) with employer matchPTO, holidays, flexible schedulingRemote-friendly environment with strong work–life balance
