Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring 2 years of OR experience and GA or compact RN licensure. Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required BLS certification required (ACLS preferred) Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required Any charting system experience required Community hospital experience preferred Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Experience with thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, ortho/spine, and urology procedures preferred, including thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, spinal fusion, joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy Skilled in emergency management and fire safety protocols Experience with cell saver equipment Knowledgeable in administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedures, and wound management Responsibilities Operating Room unit within a hospital setting 1:1 patient ratio Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 6:45 AM-3:15 PM) On-call responsibilities include 1-2 nights per week and 1-2 weekends per month Possible holiday call required Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Local candidates within the radius are not accepted Previous permanent employees may return as travelers after a 1-year separation period Travel experience is preferred but not required if minimum OR experience is met Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-757077 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
