Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting students with diverse needs in a dynamic school environment near Lowell, MA. This onsite role spans from early July to mid-August, providing focused occupational therapy services during summer school programming. Make a difference for students ranging from PreK with social-emotional and behavioral needs, to elementary and high schoolers with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Bring your expertise in school-based occupational therapy and your commitment to fostering students’ independence, engagement, and growth. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and fellow professionals, delivering compassionate support where it’s needed most.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts (required)
• Previous experience working in a school-based OT role
• Background supporting students with social-emotional, behavioral, and ASD needs
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Ability to adapt interventions for various age groups, from PreK through high school

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students with a range of needs, as outlined in IEPs
• Develop individualized strategies and accommodations to promote students’ participation and success
• Document sessions and progress, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams as needed
• Support school staff in implementing sensory and behavioral strategies
• Participate in team meetings and provide timely feedback to caregivers and teachers

This contract position runs Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, totaling 22 hours per week, onsite only. You’ll find fulfillment in knowing your work has an immediate impact on student well-being and educational access.
