Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough individual therapy sessions with adult clients, utilizing evidence-based modalities in an outpatient pain clinic setting. Facilitate weekly psychoeducational class sessions, providing clients with critical information and coping strategies for managing their mental health related to chronic pain. Offer brief therapy and conduct ongoing assessments for clients enrolled in our Functional Restoration Program (FRP), monitoring their clinical progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary. Perform initial assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans for your active caseload, ensuring that each client receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Implement clinical care that aligns with best practices in pain psychology, fostering an environment that supports recovery and emotional well-being. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, referring clients to other services within the clinic to maximize treatment efficacy. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions in our electronic medical record (EMR) system. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in clinical practice, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining client confidentiality. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will primarily focus on adult clients who have experienced work-related injuries and are facing significant challenges with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, often compounded by chronic physical pain. You will employ an integrated therapeutic approach, utilizing methods like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness strategies, to help your clients effectively cope with their circumstances. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. Current and active California License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW). Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on chronic pain management. Experience in providing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and familiarity with mindfulness-oriented interventions. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to develop rapport with diverse populations. Capacity to exercise sound judgment while working with patients in sensitive situations. Preferred Experience Experience working with patients suffering from trauma and the effects of chronic pain conditions. Knowledge of integrated therapeutic approaches is a plus, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of client needs.
