Warehouse Associate (Part Time Flex, Day Shift)

Warehouse OperationsFlex Schedule: Monday 9:00am – 5:30pm. Remainder of the week: work as many or as few hours you choose based on available shifts up to 29 hours per week.Anticipated hourly range: $23.50 per hour - $24.20 per hour based on experience. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.ResponsibilitiesExecute established procedures for receiving and stocking inventory, including accurately processing receipts in the warehouse management system, verifying quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates, and efficiently placing product in designated locations utilizing an RF scanning device to support downstream picking operations.Cross-train across multiple warehouse functions and contribute to departmental initiatives and projects as needed to support operational goals.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by performing routine housekeeping tasks and adhering to inventory control processes.Obtain and maintain certification to operate material handling equipment as required, including but not limited to order pickers (cherry pickers), forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED preferredGood written communication skills1-2 years experience preferredProficient in Microsoft office preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this level:Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasksReadily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolutionWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methodsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks under moderate degree of supervisionWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisorRefers complex unusual problems to supervisorCandidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
