Job Title: Plumbing Service Manager
Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
Job Type and Duration: On-site, Direct-Hire

Our client, a growing commercial services organization, is seeking a Plumbing Service Manager to lead daily service operations, oversee field personnel, and drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of plumbing technicians, dispatchers, and support staff.
Oversee scheduling, dispatching, service delivery, and emergency response activities.
Ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and resources across service and maintenance work.
Build strong customer relationships and serve as the primary point of escalation for service issues.
Monitor service agreements, customer retention, and opportunities for account growth.
Manage departmental financial performance, including revenue, labor costs, margins, and productivity metrics.
Review operational KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance performance.
Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives.
Maintain a strong culture of safety, accountability, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

7+ years of commercial plumbing service experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
Proven experience managing service operations, dispatching, scheduling, and technician performance.
Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, preventive maintenance programs, and customer service operations.
Experience managing budgets, profitability, labor costs, and operational metrics.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Illinois Plumbing License or equivalent industry credentials.
Experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or property management environments.
Union workforce experience is a plus.
Backflow certification is preferred but not required.
