Welding EngineerSeeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welding Engineer to join our client's team in either Pittsburgh, PA or Camden, NJ office. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in welding processes to ensure high-quality production and compliance with industry standards.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and optimize welding procedures for various manufacturing processesProvide technical support to resolve welding-related issues in productionConduct weld inspections and ensure compliance with codes and specificationsCollaborate with quality teams to analyze weld defects and implement corrective actionsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance weld quality and efficiencyMaintain documentation and reports related to welding activities and proceduresRequired QualificationsB.S. degree in Welding Engineering or Materials Science from an accredited institutionMinimum of 2 years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environmentCertification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferredStrong knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS, ASME, etc.)Hands-on experience with a variety of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and resistance weldingExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsMust be able to travel up to 10–20% of the time as needed.Physically able to support shop-floor operations which includes lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and working in industrial environments.
