At Mercy Plus, our Clinical Assistant role is designed for future BCBAs and BCaBAs who have completed their required fieldwork hours and are preparing for certification.

This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional technician responsibilities and gain advanced clinical experience while working alongside experienced BCBAs. You’ll continue building your clinical judgment, confidence, and skills as you prepare to step into a certified clinician role.

What the Role Looks Like

As a Clinical Assistant, you’ll work directly with clients while gaining exposure to the clinical responsibilities you’ll take on as a future BCBA or BCaBA.

Under the supervision of a BCBA or designated clinical leader, you may assist with assessments, data analysis, treatment programming, documentation, caregiver collaboration, technician support, and other clinical responsibilities appropriate to your experience and scope.

The goal is simple: give you meaningful clinical experience now while helping prepare you for what comes next.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct ABA services and support client treatment plans
• Assist with assessments and clinical data collection
• Support data analysis and treatment programming
• Gain exposure to behavior plan development and implementation
• Assist with clinical documentation and treatment updates
• Collaborate with BCBAs, technicians, families, and center leadership
• Support technicians with implementation of clinical programs
• Participate in supervision, mentorship, and clinical development
• Build the skills and confidence needed to transition into a BCBA or BCaBA role

Compensation

Up to $30/hour

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and clinical background.

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians, receive mentorship, strengthen your clinical skills, and gain exposure to responsibilities that go beyond traditional direct-care work.

After earning your certification, there may be opportunities to transition into an available BCBA or BCaBA position with Mercy Plus.

What We’re Looking For

• Completed required fieldwork hours toward BCBA or BCaBA certification
• Preparing for BCBA or BCaBA certification
• Experience providing ABA services
• Strong understanding of ABA principles
• Interest in developing advanced clinical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively with clients, families, technicians, and clinical leadership
• Commitment to high-quality, ethical ABA services
