If you're looking for a stable manufacturing job with consistent hours and opportunities to learn multiple skills, Valley Craft is a great place to build a career.This position supports the Purchasing and Planning Department and serves as a backup to the Traffic Clerk position.Responsibilities include:Assist with analyzing product demand and forecasts, adjusting inventory and purchasing plans accordinglyEnter purchase orders, update pricing, and other tasks within the business system as directed by others in the DepartmentAssist the Planners with implementation of the cycle counting programMaintain and analyze inventory records and reportsInvestigate discrepancies to resolve inventory issuesRelease work orders to the Production teamServes as a backup to the Traffic ClerkOther duties as assignedThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:Inventory principles and conceptsModerate to strong computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelCommunication skills – listening and team buildingStrong customer focus with ability to effectively interact primarily with internal customersStrong organizational and prioritization skillsProblem solving/analysisPurchasing principles and conceptsKnowledge of productsBusiness system softwareOffice system software – word processing, spreadsheetsPerformance Measures:Inventory turns/costInventory carrying costsCustomer On-Time DeliveryAccuracy/qualityTimelinessExperience/Education Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentEntry level, however related experience is preferredWorking knowledge of Epicor business system is a plus
