About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Institutional Advancement with a focus on philanthropy and community engagement. The successful candidate will serve as the chief philanthropy officer, responsible for leading the creation and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy. This includes growing annual, major, and planned gifts, as well as increasing support from corporate and foundation partners. The VP will also oversee stewardship and alumni relations, ensuring a culture of giving is fostered among constituents. Community engagement is a key aspect of the role, involving the creation of strategies that support the College's mission and enhance its visibility in the community. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a master's or doctorate, and at least 5 years' experience in fundraising, particularly within a large, complex advancement unit. The role requires a proven track record in high-level fundraising, experience in leading teams, and the ability to manage systems to achieve financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong network and be comfortable building relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Knowledge of best practices in philanthropy, strategic planning, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment are essential. The VP will be expected to act with the utmost integrity, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a commitment to the values of the institution.
