Job Description

Title: Block Acute Care Nursing

Schedule: Block schedules required: Yes - Weekends: 24 shifts per month

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: Part-time

Requirements:

• License: Valid state RN license required (compact license must be in hand at submission)
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience required; Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• EMR: Epic charting experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a general medicine/medical-surgical unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and implement appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide support to critical care team as needed.

Compliance / Notes:

• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
• RTO/availability: Anything beyond 7 days RTO may delay offer approval.
• Background: Facility does not accept Nursys or background "hits".
