The Secondary Math & Literacy MTSS Coordinator is a district-level leader who supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic MTSS structures across grades 6–12. This role is responsible for building coherent systems, data protocols, and professional learning structures that support effective Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction and intervention in both math and literacy. Build systems that help schools consistently track: student risk indicators and MTSS entry/exit decisions, intervention assignments, progress monitoring schedules and outcomes, student response to intervention over time. Collaborate with principals and school-based teams to problem‑solve barriers to implementation, including scheduling, staffing, student engagement, intervention access, and consistency of intervention delivery. Prepare agendas, data summaries, protocols, and tools that help school teams move from data analysis to clear problem statements, action steps, owners, and timelines. Monitor trends across secondary schools to identify common needs, bright spots, implementation challenges, and opportunities for district-level support. Collaborate with district teams to ensure secondary math and literacy intervention systems are aligned with broader instructional priorities, curriculum implementation, assessment systems, and coaching structures.
