This position allows you to travel and meet new people while at the same time working on world class specialty gas and chemical deliveries systems, manufactured in our corporate factories.As a Field Service Technician, you will be working at customer locations across the U.S. and possibly some international locations. Basic job duties include installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of GasGuard, ChemGuard, and Poly Flow delivery systems and associated support systems including Pumps, distribution piping, and exhaust systems.Responsibilities include:Preform pre-task planning and equipment condition analysis prior to starting any workEmpowered to Stop the Job and escalateResponsible for completion of customer requested tasksAudit equipment and maintenance areas according to quality and safety standardsEnsure processes and procedures are followedReport quality and safety issues immediately via the escalation processTakes ownership of NCE events and the RMA process to address equipment concerns in a timely mannerComplete all Field documentation accurately and submit for invoicing at the completion of the taskProvide solutions to the customer for equipment configuration, maintenance, and operationPhysical Attributes:80% of walking throughout the facility (5-6 miles per day)Climbing of ladders up to 12-foot-tall (utilizing fall protection)Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)Bending of the knees and overhead reachingAble to recognize and respond to safety alarmsBe capable of traveling 85% of the timeMilitary Veterans: EMD Electronics is a military friendly employer that values the skills obtained through military teamwork. Veterans from any branch or MOS with hands-on mechanical skill sets are encouraged to apply.Who You Are:Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED1+ years' experience as a Megasys Technician Level III or other Industrial / Semiconductor experience1+ years' experience with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)Valid US PassportValid Driver's License with no infractions over the past 36 monthsPreferred Qualifications:Computer skills5+ years of experience working in or at Semiconductor fabsStrong mechanical and electrical skills (including Low voltage and signal wiring (AC/DC))Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsTeam-focused and collaborative demeanorWilling to work alone or with a teamReliable and self-motivatedCommitted to Safe and Quality work environmentPay Range for this position: $30-$50/hourThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
