Administrative Supervisor

Position Summary: At Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, Administrative Supervisors play a vital leadership role in delivering trauma-informed mental health services within their assigned region. As active members of the Leadership Team, they collaborate with fellow leaders to ensure alignment with the mission and values of Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch. The Administrative Supervisor contributes directly to achieving the organization’s strategic goals and serves as a key liaison with external agencies and partners. Starting Salary Range: $1,960.02 - $2,206.02 per pay period. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience. Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Plans and directs work, ensuring that work schedules are adhered to and assigning specific duties to subordinate staff. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training employees. Conducts staff evaluations, job performance management (including coaching/counseling), and corrective action. Responsible for ensuring appropriate staff training and education programs are provided. Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings. Demonstrates effective management of a team toward achievement of goals, including appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Daily And Monthly Responsibilities: Monitor staff compliance with Administrative Rules of Montana, Council on Accreditation, and other governing bodies including mental health center and child placing agency licensing. Directly supervise CBS program staff, and at minimum provide supervision monthly. Facilitate and participate in meetings appropriate to the role as assigned by supervisor. Assist in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating the policies and procedures for all YBGR Community based programs. Contribute to community outreach and public relations of each community in assigned area. May be required to carry a caseload based on youth need and staffing in assigned area. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and engage in regular communication, program planning and problem solving. Provide training and ongoing support to staff including job specific training and professional development. Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals, and outcomes. Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization individually and as a team member. Deal constructively and helpfully with all other members of the organization. Fully support and model the mission and values of YBGR. Adhere to all policies, systems, safety requirements, and procedures of the organization. Take the initiative to identify problems and seek out solutions. Be a professional representative of the organization to those outside it. Participate and engage in monthly supervision/coaching meetings with the supervisor. Be aware of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the persons served. Participate in required training as appropriate to the position and beneficial to YBGR. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 21 years old or older Criminal / Child Abuse Clearance: Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana. Bachelor’s Degree in a human services or mental health related field of study. A combination of previous professional experience and formal education from an accredited university may be considered in lieu of a degree. 3 years of professional experience in the human services field.Driver’s License to operate passenger vehicle. Required Abilities/Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to complex problems. Demonstrate being self-motivated, self-disciplined, and diligent with forward thinking. Demonstrate the ability to think of their team over self and define success collectively rather than individually. The ability to effectively interact and communicate with others. These skills are essential for building and maintaining relationships, collaborating with colleagues, resolving conflicts, and navigating various social situations. Demonstrate the following values. Willingness and ability to obtain certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention. Physical/Environmental Demands & Requirements: Work environment: This position will generally work indoors in a climate-controlled environment but occasionally will work in an outdoor environment where they may not be protected from weather conditions. Will occasionally be required to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time while performing administrative duties. Will frequently operate computer, keyboard, and other office equipment. Consistently needs to move about inside building, outside to include uneven terrain, changes in elevation, and frequently change body position from and to standing, kneeling, and sitting. The person in this position will constantly communicate with co-workers, clients, their treatment team, and other parties. Must be able to communicate accurate information and accurately understand information communicated by individuals. Must be able to perceive, recognize, and observe client’s behavior to include non-verbal cues expressed by the client.
