Breast Sonographer

Location: Greensboro, NC
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
Weekends: No weekends
Pay: $36–$49/hour

Job Summary

Breast Sonographer to perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations and assist physicians in diagnosing and evaluating breast conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient-care skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform breast ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Review images for technical quality and diagnostic value.
• Assist radiologists with breast procedures, including biopsies, when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures.
• Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns professionally.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a related field .
• ARRT certification required.
• Active North Carolina Radiologic Technologist license required .
• Registered in Breast Sonography through ARDMS or ARRT , or willing to obtain within 90 days.
• Proficiency in general X-ray and fluoroscopy .
• Extensive outpatient experience preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
