Senior Director, Product Management (AI Hardware)

Salary: $142,000 - 194,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 12 years of technical experience in hardware engineering, hardware systems development, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years managing hardware engineering or hardware platform teams.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical organizations and geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and program management skills, including the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders.
• Significant experience delivering highly available hardware systems on schedule and within budget.
• Expertise in hardware design, board-level engineering, system integration, hardware qualification, and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of server subsystems, including GPUs, CPUs, memory, PCIe, Ethernet or InfiniBand networking, and storage technologies.
• Experience with data center hardware reliability, failure analysis, and root-cause investigation.
• Working knowledge of power delivery, cooling technologies, and rack-level architecture in hyperscale data centers.
• Experience collaborating with software, firmware, manufacturing, and data center operations teams across the hardware development lifecycle.
• Strong experience with high-performance computing, GPU-based systems, and large-scale AI infrastructure platforms.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and country-specific hardware compliance standards.
• Alternatively, 12 years of experience in product, service, project, or program management, product design, or a related field; or a bachelors degree in engineering, business, or a related field plus 8 years of such experience; or a masters degree in engineering, business, or a related field plus 6 years of such experience.
• Preferred: 13 years of experience in product, service, project, or program management, product design, or a related field; or a bachelors degree in engineering, business, or a related field plus 9 years of such experience; or a masters degree in engineering, business, or a related field plus 7 years of such experience.
• Preferred: 7 years of leadership experience with direct reports, 6 years of experience in the relevant product domain, 2 years applying agile methods such as Scrum, and 5 years of customer interaction.

• Set and communicate a long-term technical roadmap aligned with our AI infrastructure goals, coordinating hardware engineering, software, and data center operations.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, geographically distributed engineering organization, developing future leaders and fostering accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and psychological safety.
• Guide complex hardware program decisions and influence cross-functional partners and executive stakeholders.
• Balance engineering priorities, supply chain constraints, business goals, resources, and delivery commitments.
• Create proactive processes to identify, assess, and mitigate technical, operational, supply chain, and program risks.
• Lead end-to-end hardware reliability strategies, including root-cause and failure analysis, and apply lessons learned to improve quality, availability, and resilience.
• Maintain contingency plans so teams can respond to technical challenges, shifting priorities, and market changes while meeting quality and delivery commitments.
• Oversee the design, validation, integration, deployment, and lifecycle management of complex, hyperscale hardware platforms.
• Establish and maintain hardware engineering standards to promote quality, consistency, and compliance across global teams.
• Deliver large-scale hardware programs against technical requirements, milestones, quality expectations, and budget objectives.
• Partner with software, firmware, operations, supply chain, and data center engineering teams to optimize platforms for AI and high-performance computing workloads.
• Improve hardware reliability, availability, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness throughout the product lifecycle.
