As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Front Desk Coordinator in Wayne, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.21 / Hour

DayTime Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access at the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and credentials, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with campus procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Answer phones, provide directions and general information, and report suspicious activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and other required documentation for the assigned location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
