Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital St. Louis is a 90-bed freestanding rehabilitation hospital located on North Outer Forty Road in Chesterfield, in western St. Louis County, near Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal-cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries and other conditions.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients with physical injuries or disabilities to improve movement, reduce pain, and restore functional independence. Responsibilities of the positon include:

• Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care to restore strength, mobility, and function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs.
• Document treatment sessions and patient outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with rehab teams and participate in discharge planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state Physical Therapist license and possess a doctorate degree from an accredited physical therapy school. Additional requirements include:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Experience: Previous experience in rehab setting preferred.
• License: Current PT license.
• Certifications: CPR certification required.
