Music Therapist

Child Life Program The Music Therapist will be responsible for organizing and executing Music Therapy programs for pediatric patients (birth to 18 years) and their families. Through the art of music, the therapist will assist patients in adjusting to the hospital environment by providing an alternative outlet for coping mechanisms and self expression. Responsibilities As a Music Therapist, your responsibilities include: Organizing and executing Music Therapy programs. Assisting patients and families in coping with hospital stress. Collaborating with Child Life Specialists, nurses, physicians, social workers, and other staff. Prioritizing tasks and working independently with patients and families. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, or equivalent education and experience. Proficiency in at least one musical instrument. Previous experience with children and play opportunities. MT-BC certification preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and diverse populations. Strong interpersonal skills to maintain productive relationships with patients, families, and hospital staff. Compensation Salary Range: $25.97 - $41.56 USD. Salary is based on job-related experience, internal equity, and industry data. Certain positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
