Atrium Health Radiology – Live Meaningfully video highlights the team’s commitment to innovative care. Responsibilities Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Documents patient history pertaining to each procedure on requisition submitted by the physician. Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity. Prepares and administers contrast media as required. Consults with the radiologist and other physicians as necessary. Selects and operates equipment as dictated by the demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills. Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards. Minimum Job Requirements Education: Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency recognized by ARRT in Radiologic Technology. Certification / License: Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. CPR certification required. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers, handling equipment and monitoring supplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Must have adequate vision and hearing for distances up to 10 feet. Exposure to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment is expected. Ability to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
