Charlotte Skin & Laser (CSL) is a premier privately owned dermatology practice offering expert medical as well as cosmetic and esthetic services located in the heart of Charlotte, NC. Dr. Elizabeth Rostan founded the organization in 2001 with a vision of giving patients full-service skin care – integrating the art of medicine with the science of beauty. The organization is in the process of opening a second location in the Huntersville, NC area. With an eye on growth, CSL seeks a visionary and engaging people and performance leader.

Role Summary

The Executive Director will provide leadership and strategic direction for this privately owned healthcare and medical aesthetics organization. The Executive Director will be accountable for growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and culture, while preserving clinical integrity and patient experience. This role partners closely with founder/owner, physicians and leadership to scale the business responsibly and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Vision

• Proven strategic leader with ability to develop and execute the CSL’s long-term growth strategy, including expansion, service mix optimization, and new market entry
• Driver of growth; Identifies opportunities for organic growth, acquisitions, partnerships, and de novo locations
• Innovative, savvy, but knows to balance innovation and scalability with patient experience and clinical quality/safety

Operational Leadership

• Natural leader and advocate for all; Oversee day-to-day operations across all locations through senior leadership and managers
• Problem Solver who can think tactically; Ensure consistency in systems, workflows, patient experience, and brand standards
• Drives operational KPIs including patient volume, provider utilization, retention, and revenue per visit

Financial Management & Compliance

• Owner Mentality; Owns P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management in conjunction with the Practice Manager; Partners with Practice Manager and finance director to optimize pricing, margins, and cost controls; Ensures accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making
• Works collaboratively with Doctors and providers to support clinical excellence
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, scope-of-practice, medical oversight requirements)
• Maintains strong risk management, quality assurance, and patient safety standards

People, Culture & Leadership

• Oversees marketing, patient acquisition, and retention strategies

Key Relationships

• Key communicator for all stakeholders; Primary point of contact for owner(s), physicians, and external advisors
• Transparent regarding performance, risks, and growth opportunities
• Protects and enhances the long-term value of CSL

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 years of Executive leadership experience in healthcare management
• Proven success scaling operations while maintaining quality and culture
• Ability to interpret financial statements, key financial metrics and other financial reports
• Experience partnering with physician leaders
• Understanding and/or experience medical aesthetics, or multi-site medical practices
• Consumer and/or retail experience a plus
• Understanding of healthcare compliance and regulated environments
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
