- Role: Lead Data Scientist (Contract)
- Location: New York, NY
- Pay: $90-120 per hour
- Length: Extendable 6-month initial contract
- Utilization: 40 hours/week
- Benefits: W2 employees are eligible for health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
- Learn and understand business needs, developing analytical frameworks to solve complex business problems.
- Recommend optimal business strategies using historical performance analysis, predictive analytics, and scenario modelling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement analytical recommendations and business initiatives.
- Partner with marketing teams to support ongoing customer management strategies across multiple channels.
- Create and maintain automated management information reporting to track business performance and support external stakeholders.
- Design and develop predictive models and testing frameworks while driving analytics best practices across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, finance-related, or similar field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in analytics, ideally within financial services, business finance, credit products, or e-commerce environments.
- Strong coding skills in SQL, Python, and/or R.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems using analytical and statistical methods.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
