Driv Sycamore Facility

Job Description

Job Description

Build precision fastening solutions with Driv-Lok

Founded in 1940, Driv-Lok is a trusted, global partner for fastening and joining components. Our teams help engineers, product designers, and assembly leaders lower assembly costs, improve safety and efficiency, and elevate product performance through proven, application-specific solutions.

As we grow, we're adding a hands-on expert to set up and operate our Warren threader/header equipment—keeping production running smoothly and quality at its peak.

A day in this role

You arrive to an organized cell, review the job card, and select materials and tooling for a new production run. You configure and dial-in Warren threader/header machines, run first-piece checks with precision gauges, and adjust as needed to hit spec. As the line runs, you monitor equipment health, complete SPC charting, and keep everything well-lubricated and clean. You collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and maintenance to troubleshoot minor issues, then document the lot and move parts to the next operation.

What you'll take ownership of

  • Continuously observe assigned machines and make adjustments to sustain throughput and part quality.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings/blueprints to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Select correct materials and tooling; perform minor machine maintenance and daily lubrication.
  • Use precision measuring instruments correctly to validate parts.
  • Document production: attribute and SPC charting, lot splits, job card/scanner entries, and Suspect sheets.
  • Stage and move materials/WIP to the next operation per procedure.
  • Troubleshoot routine issues and collaborate with supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and other teams.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area and support additional machines as business needs dictate.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or designee.
What you bring

  • Ability to read, write, and apply basic shop math.
  • Sound judgment to solve practical problems where only limited standardization exists; able to interpret written, verbal, diagram, or schedule instructions.
  • Team-first mindset—flexible, cooperative, and respectful with internal and external customers.
  • Comfort learning and using Driv-Lok’s computer systems.
