Description

• Conduct assessments for patients across age groups using standardized tests and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to design integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to bolster progression beyond therapy sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care from assessment to recovery.
• Keep meticulous, timely records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
