Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an optional four-day, 10-hour schedule
Pay: $150,000 to $195,000 per year
Overview
A healthcare organization in California City is seeking a California-licensed Psychologist for a full-time position within a secure correctional and detention setting. This role provides psychological assessment, treatment planning, crisis support, and ongoing clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team.
The position offers a consistent weekday schedule, an optional compressed 4x10 arrangement, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and review of available records.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based psychological counseling and therapeutic interventions.
- Assess patients experiencing mental health crises and provide appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation support.
- Conduct clinical rounds throughout patient housing areas to evaluate adjustment, functioning, and treatment needs.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, mental health providers, educational staff, chaplaincy staff, and security personnel.
- Monitor changes in behavior and mental health status and coordinate appropriate clinical follow-through.
- Maintain professional documentation and support continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice Psychology in California.
- At least two years of clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work on site in a secure correctional or detention environment.
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical and operational team.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
