School Behavior Specialist in West Chester, PAEmbark on a rewarding opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Specialist, working full-time in a school-based, contract position supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges. This role offers 35 hours per week starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2027, with roles available within K-2 Autistic Support classrooms and at the middle school level.Key Highlights:Full-time contract, 35 hours weekly, onsite at area schoolsFive positions available: three at an arts-based school (K-2 Autism Support), two at a middle school (male RBTs only for this site)Candidates must be comfortable with frequently changing needs and flexible in daily assignmentsEngagement with SPED students and those with behavioral challenges is central, requiring resilience and adaptabilitySchool-based experience requiredReliable transportation necessary to travel between sites if neededMust be able to obtain or complete all necessary PA state clearancesAbility to work in an urban educational setting is essentialCandidates should be able to maintain their RBT certification independently, as district supervision may not always be providedCurrent RBT certification and relevant school-based experience are must-havesOnly RBTs or Behavior Specialists will be considered (no paraprofessionals, please)References are requiredA brief (15-minute) interview via Zoom is part of the selection processPriority will be given to onboard candidates who meet all criteria, and a limited number of applicants will be considered at any given time to ensure a thorough review.If you’re dedicated to making a meaningful impact in special education classrooms, submit your application along with your RBT certification and specify which opening you’re interested in.
