VCA Highlands Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Location: 25011 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24211

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $16-$18/hr

Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you've invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to: (Can be taught)

• Compassionate patient care

Any previous experience in an animal hospital a plus

• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
• Customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communications skills
• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
• This shift can alternate from day to evening shifts
