Summary/Purpose

Supplies components to the manufacturing areas and support departments that are needed to produce high quality finished goods that meet or exceed our customer's specification. The material handling team members are required to deliver the components using a tugger and/or forklift, stretch wrap skids of parts, operate the cardboard baler/compactor charge and/or change batteries, and box washer.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

• Willing and able to work any shift.
• Must be able to comprehend English and follow direction from JTEKT team leader, supervisor and/or manager.
• Must perform all instructions as listed in the Job Element.
• Follow standard work as described in the Job Elements for each operation and produce quality parts.
• Must produce standard quantities upon completion of training.
• Inspect all safety equipment prior to production start-up (E-Stops, safety lights, PPE).
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Perform minor preventative machine maintenance such as oiling machines and dies and do all necessary cleaning on equipment and work area.
• Follow the non-conforming material procedure when it is found and notify the team leader.
• Project a positive outlook in conversation and conduct.
• Able to work in a fast paced team environment without direct supervision.
• Able to achieve forklift and tugger certification and drive proficiently, as determined is needed by our business demands.
• May perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

• Ability to work overtime is an essential function of the position.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
