Clinic Registered Nurse

In Gastrointestinal Clinic at Main Campus Dearth Tower Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Summary: This position will provide a registered nurse to return all emergent phone calls for entire division to patients during regular business hours. The nurse will work from clinic office and will respond to and treat patients using division phone protocols, procedures, and other guidelines. Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below: Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State Basic Life Support Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: The Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division at Children's of Alabama provides comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation and management of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional problems. These may include conditions such as liver disease, feeding disorders, eosinophilic esophagitis, functional GI disorders, intestinal rehabilitation, and inflammatory bowel disease. Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners also provide world-class, disease-specific care in this area under the supervision of the attending MD. Multidisciplinary patient-centered care is the focus of the Division. Close interaction with Pediatric Surgery, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesiology and Nutrition services provide ample opportunity for optimizing patient care.
