Associate /Coverage Attorney Job Summary
Our Firm is looking for an Associate Attorney, and or a Coverage Attorney to help with our high volume of Florida Workers Compensation Cases representing injured workers in South Florida.
Job descriptionAssociate /Coverage Attorney Job Summary: Our Firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to help with our high volume of Florida Workers Compensation Cases representing injured workers in South Florida. Our busy Law Firm seeks a reliable and detail-oriented Associate Attorney, to cover depositions and all associate related matters. Please note that you will work underneath a Senior Attorney on each case you are assigned. Your tasks include preparing the injured worker, (Claimants) for their depositions, and covering said depositions , as you progress, you will also be required to cover and represent clients, (Claimant's) at State Mediations, Hearings, (Via Zoom , Draft and Dictate Legal documents, including Petitions for Benefits, Motions and Response Motions, and assisting with the discovery process, and performing legal research for each case preparing for Final Hearings, (Trial) , and Private Settlement Mediations. You will also learn and be required to give support staff instructions like securing authorized medical physician records, IME reports, and MRI reports. You will learn to excel in all aspects of injury litigation. Further, we are looking for someone who can aggressively represent our clients' interests. Our ideal applicant has 2-4 years of litigating experience, preferably focused on Workers Compensation Law, or Personal Injury Law.Moreover, you must have a license to practice Law in Florida.Additionally, you will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings
- Assist with the discovery process by covering claimant depositions, and Drs depositions, preparing fact specific production requests, and reviewing medical records , and other medical documents
- Negotiate issue resolutions
- Perform legal research
- Make Court Appearances (via Zoom ), as necessary
- Conduct initial consultations with potential clients
- Call or email & communicate with existing clients back , and answer questions and provide them

Associate Attorney Requirements and Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in Florida
- Litigating experience (2-4 years)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Bilingual a plus
